Cairn to support BWF World Junior Badminton Championship 2025 in Guwahati


Guwahati, October 3, 2025: Cairn Oil & Gas, a part of Vedanta Group and India’s largest private oil & gas producer, has become a proud partner of the YONEX SUNRISE BWF World Junior Mixed Team Championships & World Junior Badminton Championships 2025, being hosted in Guwahati from October 6–19, 2025, by the Badminton Association of India. This premier international event brings the spotlight to India’s Northeast, providing young players from over 40 countries a platform to excel in this global sporting challenge.
For Cairn, the championship is not just about the game but also about investing in youth, promoting grassroots sports, and strengthening community engagement.
Cairn’s association with the championship reflects its long-term commitment to enabling opportunities for the youth, both in Assam and across the country. The BWF World Junior Championships is held annually and consists of two competitions: the Mixed Team Championships, followed by the Individual Championships. Spread over 12 days, the event attracts up to 50 teams and nearly 400 players from around the world.
